Ding Ning is currently the world’s number one player in the women’s division so naturally, she is the top seed in this year’s World Championships. She might be at the top in the list but in her mind, she is not. In her recent interview, the 2011 champion revealed that she doesn’t place herself in such a high position as it will not be beneficial for her.

[[Ding Ning]] has experienced the victory and defeat in the World Championships. In 2011, she defeated [[Li Xiaoxia]] for the title. Two years after in Paris, Ding Ning lost in the semifinals against Li Xiaoxia who won the title at that time.

Because of that, Ding Ning said that she will be giving her all in the competition but she knows that its all that she can do. “The result is unknown. This is the charm of sports.” Ding Ning said.
Ding Ning is on top of the seeding list for this year’s competition but she seems not to agree with it.
“I will not place myself in the top position. Before, in my interview, a reporter asked me where I am ranked in the team now. I replied I am in the sixth position. Indeed, this time we are six in the Singles. The other five players have all defeated me. So I think I placed myself in the real position.” Ding Ning said.
