Slack’s Valuation More Than Doubles to $2.8 Billion in Five Months




The growing popularity of workplace collaboration tool Slack has attracted a new group of investors eager to pay up for a piece of the startup.


Slack has signed a deal with investors to raise up to $160 million in a funding round that values the company at $2.76 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. The round, which will include new investors Institutional Venture Partners, Horizons Ventures, Index Ventures and DST Global, is expected to close in the next few weeks, the people said.
