Copyright enforcement is one of the main challenges for user-generated content Internet platforms. Considering the impossibility of monitoring all the content uploaded, intermediary liability rules provide a safe harbor to service providers that do not have actual knowledge about the infringing material and act expeditiously to remove the infringing content upon notice.
