"More and more publishers are coming to the recognition that there’s a new normal. And the new normal..."

“More and more publishers are coming to the recognition that there’s a new normal. And the new normal is not nearly as nice as the old normal was.”

We’re in the postnormal, where there is no normalcy.

When Google states that mobile search has eclipsed desktop search, we are at a double remove from print as the center of discourse. Newspapers haven’t caught up with the web, and are now missing the transition to mobile, too.

I read the NY Times on my phone, but I doubt that the senior staff there does, or at the WSJ, or other ‘leading’ publications.
