I seldom agree wholeheartedly with Friedman – in fact I seldom agree with him at all – but he is dead on with this. Elected Republicans that don’t repudiate Trump at this juncture will never live it down: they will never get out from that shadow.

In the same Op-Ed piece, he wrote
