Stupidity on top of stupidity.
Testing shows undercover agents could get weapons and bombs past TSA checkpoints, but psychological tests show that people aren’t cognitively organized to find objects in x-ray imagery that are very rare. Our brains are designed to find things we see all the time, not the needle in the haystack.
But the reality of that makes no difference to totalitarian logic. So the TSA director is fired, and ‘new procedures’ will be put in place.
What they need is artificial intelligence. Why not train Watson to find the guns?
